Californo woven ceramic insulating blanket comes in a 51 sq. ft. roll at 1″ thickness, high density 8 Lbs./cu.ft., 2300º Farenheit (1260º Celsius) insulation for pizza . Enough to cover any of our ovens up to Garzoni-420. You should use 3 layers for high efficiency insulation.
Californo Blanket is a superior oven dome insulator. It is a flexible woven ceramic blanket that is both highly efficient and easy to install. An Alumina Silicate product originally designed for industrial applications, such as aluminum melting furnaces. A 3 ” thick layer of Californo Blanket reduces the potential 800ºF exterior of a pizza oven dome to roughly 165º Farenheit at equilibrium. Californo Blanket is easy to install and to work with, easy to cut with a utility knife, light weight and highly efficiency for optimal pizza oven performance.
